Well crud

I grabbed this screen shot from Weather Underground around 10 this morning. As you can see, we've got extreme cold forecast for the weekend, and that's on top of the bitter cold we have right now (temp was 2F when I drove to work this morning). And don't forget the snow. It's only two inches but super slick.

I just checked the weather again and now the forecast calls for snow on Sunday (bad news for the trail for the half marathon) and the low Sunday night is -6. That's a minus sign.

Not liking my chances for running this half, I'll be honest.

I’ve gone on and on about how I generally won’t run when the temperature is below 20°F (the exception being if it’s close to 20 and not windy). So when I do get some better running weather, I feel obligated to take advantage of it.

Case in point is this week. Now normally I’d run every other day. But looking at the lows for each day – because I run early in the morning, when the low temp applies – it’s clear that I can run today and tomorrow and then forget about it until . . . well I don’t know when. Nothing looks promising on the long range forecast.

So I’ll run today and probably tomorrow too. It’s not ideal but it’s the only chance I have.

Do we live in Boston?

Kent received two job offers almost two years ago--one offer was in Seattle and the other one was the offer he accepted here in Boston. One factor in our decision to choose Boston was the weather. But take a look at our forecast for the rest of the week. Doesn't that look more like typical Seattle weather?
