Tick tock

I changed my ticket and I'm flying home tonight. I was originally staying through tomorrow because with Kent in Australia, why kill myself getting out of here. Then Eddie's behavior made it clear this kitty is struggling.

I feel a little stupid worrying so much about a cat, and I know dog people would roll their eyes at me. But if Eddie were a dog, you know they'd do the same thing if they could.

The last three nights, I've gone walking through the park next to the hotel just to get a glimpse of the feral kitties. It's comforting in a way.

To keep things lighthearted, here's a new Simon video which Jeanne had shared on Facebook.

I wish you luck with Eddie. Perhaps once you're home, he'll calm down.

Thank you and that's my hope too. The Cat Nanny is coming over Monday while I'm home to see if we can reintroduce her to Eddie. It will also be worth seeing if he does freak out on her. I've just never seen that kind of behavior from him.

Having the cat nanny over while you're there sounds like a good idea.

Rossi never did get over his animosity to others. People would come over to feed him, and he would turn himself into a Tasmanian Devil. One time the cat sitter--a friend--was too scared to feed him, which was what he deserved. After that we paid people to feed him and warned them about the way he carried on.

I'm not confident she would continue to come if he keeps attacking as she's described. I really don't want to kennel him at the vet's because in addition to costing a lot, that's a sure fire way to piss off a cat--stick him in a small cage at a place he hates.
